Summary
Join Standard Metrics, a fast-growing financial collaboration platform, as a Sales Development Representative. You'll play a key role in expanding our business by building and executing outbound sales plans, engaging with venture capital firms, and collaborating with Account Executives. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the dynamic world of private markets and contribute to our rapid growth. The role requires strong communication, prospecting, and relationship-building skills, along with experience in SaaS sales development. We offer competitive compensation, including a base salary between $60,000-$70,000 plus equity, and excellent benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, flexible vacation time, and paid parental leave. We are a remote-first company with regular team offsites.
Requirements
- 2+ years of progressive SaaS software sales development experience
- Experience using prospecting tools (Salesforce, Apollo, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, etc)
- Strong networker, connecting with prospects even when outside of sales-motion fostering deep relationships
- Excellent sleuthing, creativity, communication, and writing skills
- Track record of achieving and/or exceeding quotas
Responsibilities
- Build and execute outbound sales development plan to generate new business opportunities and conduct high-level conversations with key stakeholders in venture capital prospect accounts to fuel our growth
- Write tailored messages and cold call qualified prospects
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives to create and prioritize target account lists and book qualified meetings
- Be the first point of contact handling all incoming customer enquiries
- Ensure all data is properly maintained and updated in our CRM
- Utilize business and industry knowledge to research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, create/identify compelling events, and develop accounts
- Set meetings & demos between prospective clients and Standard Metrics Account Executives
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Private Markets firms, Venture Capital or Private Equity
