Summary
Join Plex as a Sales Director (East) and become a strategic partner to the ad sales team, working directly with the CRO. This fully remote position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and extensive agency relationships. You will be responsible for communicating Plex’s value proposition to advertisers, developing agency contacts, driving new sales, collaborating with internal teams on sales proposals, and acting as a brand ambassador. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in digital advertising sales, extensive agency relationships, experience selling premium video advertising, and a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets. The role involves travel for client meetings and conferences. Plex offers a competitive compensation package including base pay, commission, and a range of benefits.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in digital advertising sales /selling to brand advertisers and agency leaders; CTV/OTT preferred
- Extensive relationships with Agency Hold Co’s, Agencies, Clients
- Experience in selling premium video advertising
- Strong desire for collaboration, creative ideation and proactive client engagement
- Strong presentation skills
- Proficiency Excel, PowerPoint and various reporting platforms
- Entrepreneurial and intrinsically driven to work in a fast paced, ad supported growing streaming environment
- You are hungry to make an impact, continuously working to improve our product and process
- A demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding annual revenue targets
- Open to traveling for in person client meetings and conference functions
Responsibilities
- Understand and effectively communicate Plex’s value proposition, technology advantages and ad supported streaming AVOD and FAST platforms to advertisers and ad agencies
- Develop advertiser and agency contacts and cultivate relationships at all levels to influence buying decisions
- Drive new sales and expanding existing sales across Plex’s ad supported FAST and AVOD platforms
- Work closely with other internal teams to build sales proposals that focus on clients (agency or direct) business objectives and present the most relevant information to support Plex’s market position
- Become a brand ambassador in building marketplace awareness for Plex while driving business relationships with clients
