Requirements
- Proven experience with 2-5 years in sales or business development, ideally within landscaping or outdoor power equipment industries
- Customer relationship management and engagement with leadership members of companies ranging from $5M - $500M in annual revenue
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships, networking, and managing various customer needs
- Strong phone presence and confidence in cold-calling and client engagement
- Persuasive verbal and written communication skills to effectively demonstrate product benefits and close deals
- Understanding of industry trends, consumer psychology, and sales/marketing strategies
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address customer questions and concerns
- Proficiency in CRM software (we use HubSpot)
- Experience with driving a truck & trailer
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle, driving new revenue by identifying high-potential leads and converting them into long-term customers
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with prospects and clients, demonstrating how Scytheโs autonomous solutions address key operational pain points
- Deliver impactful pitches through site visits, remote outreach, and in-person demonstrations to showcase Scytheโs game-changing products
- Collaborate upstream with Marketing to accelerate the sales cycle and downstream with Account Management ensure our customersโ success
- Represent Scythe at industry conferences, events, and site visits, positioning yourself as a thought leader in autonomous technology for the landscaping industry through 1:1 engagement, panel discussions, and presentations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling automation or robotics solutions and comfortably explaining technical concepts to non-technical prospects
- Background in selling equipment or services to the landscaping industry
- Participation in conferences or seminars to promote product features and develop client relationships
