Summary

The job is for a System for Award Management (SAM) Registration Training Consultant working virtually for the USAID-funded Partnerships Incubator project. The consultant will develop training materials on SAM.gov registration and provide live support to USAID staff and partners. The position requires expertise in the SAM/UEI registration process, experience in developing training materials, team leadership, and strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in the SAM/UEI registration process, ideally involving training or technical support to non-U.S. audience
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) in communications, education, the humanities, international development, or related field
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree or sixteen years of experience and a Master's degree or 14 years of experience and a JD/ABA or 12 years of experience and a PhD
  • Demonstrated experience in developing training materials in various media, including videos, virtual live training sessions, and printed informational materials
  • Experience designing and delivering training to adult multicultural audiences
  • Proven ability to lead teams of collaborating professionals
  • Proven ability to conduct live training and help sessions both in person and virtually
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels
  • Superior writing and editing skills, with evidence of generating excellent outputs
  • Be able to successfully serve on a fully teleworking team

Responsibilities

  • Develop up to four engaging and informative SAM.gov registration walkthrough videos for a USAID partner audience
  • Provide live training and help desk services for USAID staff and partners
  • Develop up to three live help sessions
  • Develop up to two live training-of-trainers sessions for Mission staff (same training but in different timezones)
  • Create two help documents: Troubleshooting & Common Mistakes document and 'Registration Steps' Checklist document

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable with a project environment that appreciates initiative, collaboration, and an entrepreneurial mindset and behaviors
  • Experience working in the USAID environment
  • Values teamwork and collaboration and brings a results-oriented approach to training delivery
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, agile, and innovative environment
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in a non-English language, such as Spanish, French, or Arabic, is a plus
  • Deep commitment to social impact
  • Interest in USAID and its mission, as well as key issues in international development
