SAP Architect

Summary

The job is for a remote SAP Architect focused on digital transformation and ERP implementation using the SAP S4 HANA platform. The role involves leading SAP solution design, system integration, performance optimization, technical leadership, security and compliance, vendor management, and documentation/reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Typically 8-10 years of experience in SAP architecture, design, and implementation
• SAP certifications, such as SAP Certified Technology Associate or SAP Certified Application Associate, are highly desirable
• Proven experience as an SAP Architect or in a similar role, with in-depth knowledge of SAP technologies and solutions
• Strong understanding of SAP modules, including SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP CRM, and others
• Expertise in SAP integration technologies, SAP Cloud Platform, and SAP Fiori/UI5
• Familiarity with SAP security and compliance standards

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of SAP solutions that align with business requirements and industry best practices
• Define and document architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices for SAP implementations
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective SAP architecture and design
• Ensure seamless integration of SAP systems with other enterprise systems, both SAP and non-SAP
• Develop integration strategies and oversee the implementation of middleware and integration solutions
• Identify opportunities for process automation and optimization through system integration
• Monitor SAP system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
• Implement performance tuning measures and optimization strategies
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability of SAP solutions
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to SAP development and support teams
• Mentor and coach team members in SAP technologies and best practices
• Stay updated with SAP trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
• Implement and oversee security measures to protect SAP systems and data
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and internal policies
• Conduct security assessments and audits as necessary
• Manage relationships with SAP vendors, consultants, and service providers
• Collaborate with vendors to leverage their expertise and support for SAP solutions
• Evaluate and recommend third-party SAP add-ons and solutions when needed
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP architecture, configurations, and changes
• Prepare and deliver reports to management and stakeholders on the status of SAP projects and initiatives
