Summary
Join Williams Adley as a Credit Risk Senior Consultant and be responsible for performing SBA 7a loan file reviews, working closely with the SBA on various types of loan reviews, providing loan review services, and supervising other consultants. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SBA lending or underwriting, specifically the SBA 7a program and working knowledge of 7a SOPs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 10 years’ experience working in financial institutions or regulatory supervisory institutions with an emphasis on SBA
- Deep understanding of SBA lending or underwriting, specifically the SBA 7a program and working knowledge of 7a SOPs
- Understanding credit processes, such as loan origination and underwriting; credit policies; portfolio management; loan review and remediation
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state banking laws related to credit risk
- Prior experience should include progressive responsibilities, including supervising and reviewing the work of others, and project management, including self-management of simultaneous work-streams and responsibilities
- Strong written and verbal communication and comprehension both formally and informally to our client and our team, in a variety of formats and settings, including in interviews, meetings, calls, e-mails, reports, process narratives, presentations, etc
Responsibilities
- Performing SBA 7a loan file reviews and writing reports
- Working closely with the SBA on the various types of loan reviews of SBA Lenders
- Providing loan review services and consulting with lenders on credit-related matters
- Making and sustaining meaningful client relationship
- Supervising, training and reviewing the work of other consultants
- Managing key aspects of client service projects from planning to completion
- Becoming a trusted advisor to client management by providing appropriate recommendations and solutions
- Supporting proposal and business development activities by identifying new target clients, building business relationships with key executives, developing proposals
