Requirements
- Minimum of 4+ years' recent experience with the following SBA 7(a) loan programs: 7(a) Standard, 7(a) Small, Express
- 5+ years of recent experience in commercial loan activities in accordance with standard due diligence processes at regulatory agencies, financial institutions, or similar organizations
- Working knowledge of SBA’s 7(a) Loan Program Requirements including, but not limited to: Loan application process and required documentation
- SOP eligibility requirements per SOP 50 10 6, SOP 50 10 7, and 50 10 7.1
- Underwriting of 7(a) Standard, 7(a) Small and Express loan requests
- Loan closing process and documentation
- Ability to work independently, analyze financial information, calculate key indicators and identify credit risks
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook and Teams applications
- Organized individual with excellent attention to detail
- Strong written communication and interpretation skills
- Ability to work effectively with a fully remote review team, located throughout the U.S
- Bachelor’s degree a plus, however, 10+ years’ SBA 7(a) loan experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- US Citizenship is required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
Responsibilities
- Complete loan file reviews in accordance with standard due diligence processes to determine compliance with SBA 7(a) requirements
- Utilize proprietary software program to draft findings from loan file reviews
- Prepare internal reports for use by the SBA in completing their Risk Based Review reports
- Additional administrative tasks as directed by Senior Financial Analyst
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience with collections or special asset management of SBA 7(a) is preferred
