Summary

Join ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office as a SCADA Architect in Croatia, Poland, or another Eastern European country. This role involves working with a renewable energy company on a second-version SCADA system. You will leverage your extensive experience in SCADA systems, particularly Ignition, to design and implement the architecture. The ideal candidate possesses deep domain knowledge, strong system architecture skills, and experience in renewable energy. Requirements

  • Have 7+ years of experience in SCADA systems, with at least 4 years focused on Ignition or similar platforms
  • Possess deep domain knowledge in SCADA systems, particularly with Ignition by Inductive Automation
  • Demonstrate strong experience in system architecture, including migration strategies and SCADA system optimization
  • Have expertise in Ignition-based platforms, including project scoping, customization, and scaling solutions
  • Have experience in advising on system architecture for renewable energy plants (wind, solar, battery storage)
  • Have experience with SQL and/or time-series databases
  • Possess domain knowledge in energy sales bidding, frequency reserves markets, and managing hybrid power parks (wind, solar, battery)
  • Have the ability to consult on forecasting and predictive modeling solutions (e.g., energy production and consumption)
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have upper-intermediate level of English
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
  • Show passion for renewable energy and future technologies

Responsibilities

Help the team to put together the new SCADA architecture, a second version system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have knowledge of Java and microservice architectures related to energy markets (e.g., mFRR, AFRR trading systems)
  • Be familiar with Ignition certifications and project management tools related to SCADA system implementations
  • Have an understanding of real-time data integration, PLC, and automation solutions for energy grids
  • Have experience with cloud deployment or hybrid SCADA solutions
  • Be familiar with the Baltic or Eastern European energy markets
