SDE III Backend

Summary

The job is for an SDE-III at Interface.ai, a fast-growing Conversational AI company in the financial sector. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining features across their platform, products, and partner integrations. The ideal candidate should have strong computer science fundamentals, experience as a software developer, and hands-on experience with Node.js, Relational DBs, and Git.

Requirements

• Have worked in a startup of 5 to 30 employees and got a chance to see the products being built
• Have a strong fundamental understanding of Computer Science with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or a related field
• Have 5-7 years of work experience as a software developer
• Hands-on experience in building small products or features in a big product and taking it live
• Hands-on experience in Node.js
• Hands-on experience in working with Relational DBs and writing complex SQL queries(Postgresql/MySQL)
• Have a good understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Participate in the Design and Development of new features in the product
• Participate in Product releases through requirement reviews, development, deployment, documenting release notes and technical details regarding functionality and configuration
• Ability to work in a high-paced dynamic environment with broad-level requirements, deadlines, pressures, etc
• Working knowledge of Linux/Solaris environments
• Must have experience with Version Control systems, preferably GIT
• Need to have excellent team orientation skills. Good Communication Skills are required
• Highly motivated, a Go-Getter who needs no supervision

Responsibilities

• Design, Implement and Maintain features, workflows, and API across Interface’s conversational AI Platform, Products, and Partner Integrations
• Give and receive technical feedback through code reviews or design discussions
• Work with a team of driven and passionate colleagues who work on cutting-edge technology and take pride in solving complex problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to performance tuning & resolving production issues in previous engagements is a plus
• Having exposure to the AWS cloud environment is a plus
• Are passionate about learning new stuff(technologies, programming languages, etc.) and do so quickly
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing good technical documents
