Summary
Our Partner is seeking a Mid-Level Security Consultant with expertise in static code analysis to strengthen their security offerings. The role involves identifying and reporting security vulnerabilities, collaborating with development teams, staying updated with the latest security trends, preparing detailed reports, and more. Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, 2-3 years of experience in security static analysis, strong understanding of secure coding practices, excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills, ability to work independently, and as part of a team. Nice to have relevant security certifications and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in security static analysis or a related security role
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and software development lifecycle
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C#, or JavaScript
- Knowledge of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top Ten) and remediation techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Identify and report security vulnerabilities in codebases using tools or pure manual code reviewing techniques, including potential exploits, and security flaws
- Collaborate with development teams to provide guidance on secure coding practices and remediation strategies
- Participate in code reviews and provide security-focused feedback
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings and recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, OSCP, CSSLP)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
