Security Email Gateway Specialist

Summary

The job is a remote Secure Email Gateway (SEG) Administrator position for candidates from Costa Rica or Colombia. The role involves managing SEG infrastructure, monitoring email traffic for security threats, implementing and managing email filtering policies, collaborating with the IT team, staying informed about emerging email security threats, and participating in incident response activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience managing Secure Email Gateway (SEG) solutions
• Strong understanding of email protocols, email authentication mechanisms, and email filtering techniques
• Extensive hands-on experience with email security tools and technologies
• Experience with Cloudflare WAF and a working knowledge of F5 WAF
• Proficiency in M365 for SEG
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain our Secure Email Gateway (SEG) infrastructure
• Monitor and analyze email traffic for security threats, phishing attempts, malware, and other malicious activities
• Implement and manage email filtering policies, spam detection rules, and content inspection mechanisms
• Collaborate with the IT team to integrate SEG solutions with existing email systems and applications
• Provide expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders on email security best practices and policies
• Stay informed about emerging email security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices
• Participate in incident response activities related to email security incidents

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services is a plus
