Security Engineer

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in computer science or a related field
• Familiarity with incident handling, SIEM tools, EDR, and cloud security
• Experience with firewalls, vulnerability management, and penetration testing
• Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other security frameworks
• Hands-on experience securing multi-cloud environments and automating security tasks
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and analyzing system logs

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to reduce risks and support organizational growth
• Conduct proactive risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies to safeguard critical assets
• Ensure compliance with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards by implementing robust security controls and supporting audits
• Respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in real-time, minimizing damage and ensuring business continuity
• Track, document, and report security metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership
• Secure multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and collaborate with IT teams to implement cutting-edge security measures
• Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement across the organization to minimize risks

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with advanced tools like Metasploit and vulnerability scanning
