Summary

Join FAIRTIQ as a Security Engineer and play a pivotal role in enhancing and evolving our cybersecurity program, with a particular emphasis on application security. You will design, implement, and manage key security activities such as vulnerability assessments, incident response, and technical security documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2-3 years in a security-focused role
  • Strong grasp of web, mobile, and cloud security concepts, including security protocols, cryptography, and network security
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices
  • Proficient in Java, Python, or shell scripting
  • Understanding of disciplines like vulnerability management
  • Experience in incident response management or a desire to develop in this area
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to learn and stay updated with emerging technologies
  • Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimise operational security activities, emphasising automation and continuous improvement
  • Enhance and maintain FAIRTIQ’s comprehensive security documentation framework
  • Actively engage in and elevate our incident response processes
  • Advocate for technical security awareness across the organisation, setting the standard through your work and example
  • Provide support and security guidance primarily to the Tech team, contributing to secure software development
  • Conduct technical design reviews and perform threat modelling to identify and mitigate potential risks
