Security Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Security Engineer at Pondurance who will maintain EDR platforms, improve SOC capabilities, and detect potential threats. The role requires experience with Endpoint Protection Platforms (SentinelOne, Crowdstrike, Defender etc.) and Crowdstrike’s Falcon LogScale.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of tuning alerts and pertinent logs necessary to detect threats, understanding of cyber-attacks, threat intelligence, MITRE Att&ck framework, emerging threats and threat modeling as well as security research techniques
• Experience with Endpoint Protection Platforms (SentinelOne, Crowdstrike, Defender etc.), experience with scripting languages, such as Python and Javascript

Responsibilities

Maintain multiple EDR platforms by assisting with installs as needed, troubleshooting EDR function, scheduling and conducting proactive upgrades, tuning existing technology stack for efficacy and actionable response, identifying workflow improvements and curating new automations through SOAR platform, developing and driving methods to detect potential threats, maintaining the SOAR platform in support of day-to-day SOC activities, working with cross-functional teams to enhance, document, and train on detection capabilities, building scripts and reports as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Prior SOC Experience and or SOAR experience is a plus
