Summary

Join Wiz, a rapidly growing cloud security company, as a Security Engineer to build and manage enterprise security platforms. You will design, code, and deploy technologies for detection and response, vulnerability management, and access control, using a mix of commercial products and in-house tools. Automate processes at scale, collaborate with various teams, and influence internal security strategy. Respond to security incidents and configure security controls across multiple platforms. Secure key enterprise applications and work with globally distributed teams. This role requires 6+ years of experience in security engineering and operations, including scripting and automation (Python required).

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in the following areas
  • Extensive experience developing scripts or software to automate processes and integrate security technologies (Python experience is *required* and Powershell experience is a bonus)
  • Security engineering and operations experience
  • Experience with some or all the following: Endpoint and mobile security, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability Management, SIEM technologies, API integrations
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a positive and collaborative attitude
  • Ability to think outside of the box to develop security capabilities that will scale with a rapidly growing organization
  • Experience securing key enterprise systems, including e-mail and communications, developer tools, customer relationship management, and back-office functions
  • Experience working with remote, globally distributed teams

Responsibilities

  • Act as a β€œBuilder” - design, write code, and deploy technologies that we use to perform corporate security – Including detection and response workflows, vulnerability management, access control, or other functions using a mix of commercial products, open-source tooling, and in-house scripts and tools
  • Work to effectively automate processes at scale to streamline security engineering and operations tasks
  • Collaborate and build relationships with multiple teams throughout the organization, including Product Security, IT, Software Engineering, and DevOps
  • Influence Wiz's internal security strategy, develop and execute security initiatives to meet our objectives, and define the criteria and measurements that we use to assess our progress
  • Work with cross-functional teams to respond to security incidents – be it an escalated security event or remediating a critical vulnerability - when the need arises
  • Configure, harden, and monitor security controls across SaaS, Windows, macOS, web browser, iOS and Android platforms
  • Secure key enterprise applications that support employee collaboration and productivity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and / or candidates with equivalent job experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience working in organizations that develop software and / or operate managed infrastructure and technology services for their own customers
  • Experience working in organizations that develop and operate Software as a Service
