Experience with cloud-native environments and coding is required. While experience in fintech or with specific technologies like Azure, .NET, and Kubernetes is beneficial, it's not mandatory. Requirements
- Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning and self-development
- Be a motivated team player who is delivery focused and can suggest solutions as to how things can be done better
- Be a great communicator, able to clearly articulate security risks and improvements to a variety of stakeholders around the business
- Good security knowledge and enthusiasm for software security
- Understand common software vulnerabilities and be able to describe them to different audiences. Awareness of the wider security landscape
- Some experience developing code and working in a cloud native environment
Responsibilities
- Work alongside other security engineers to gain familiarity with the organisationโs processes and technologies and further build your security and software skills
- Work with software development and platform teams to help them to deliver and maintain secure products using modern technologies. In the process you will build credibility and trust with them
- Champion security best practices and run security consultations / training sessions
- Trial new technologies and pave the way for their adoption
- Supporting existing security tooling and evaluating new tools as they become available
- Risk-based vulnerability management, taking a pragmatic approach to balancing security, customer, and business needs. Communicating these risks to the business
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience of a fintech environment or similar upscale organisation
- Experience with Azure, .NET, and Kubernetes
- Experience with similar coding languages / cloud providers
- Experience with enterprise technologies such as Databricks, Power BI, etc
