Summary

Join Samsara as a Security Engineer and build, operate, and maintain our core security infrastructure. Collaborate with a global team to build a world-class security engineering program using modern principles across corporate and product infrastructure. Develop low-friction solutions, automated alerting and response capabilities, and drive insights into malicious activity. Leverage your expertise in various technologies to build a leading program. This remote role, based in Bangalore, requires working 2 PMโ€“11 PM IST. Relocation assistance is not provided.

Requirements

  • Deep subject matter expertise within enterprise security, including extensive experience managing endpoint security, identity lifecycle, or device trust efforts
  • 3+ years experience working in enterprise security in the technology sector
  • Willingness to collaborate with fellow security engineers and analysts, including via documentation writing, code pairing, and other activities

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development, deployment, and management of Samsaraโ€™s enterprise security program
  • Apply your knowledge and experience on endpoint security, SASE, and secure web gateways to reduce risk
  • Be a subject matter expert for one or more security systems, working directly with stakeholders and vendors to ensure seamless integration and operation
  • Write documentation and runbooks around key enterprise security needs
  • Occasionally collaborate with Security Operations to provide subject matter expertise around security investigations and incident management
  • Assist with other automated security tooling, such as just-in-time access management, least privilege access, and other security engineering priorities
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsaraโ€™s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or operating security programs using modern SaaS platforms such as Zscaler, Crowdstrike, Wiz, Splunk, and other tools
  • Experience driving efforts around device trust, just-in-time access management, and identity lifecycle management
