Security Engineering Manager, Detection And Incident Response

Summary

Join Squarespace as a Security Engineering Manager for the Detection and Incident Response (DIR) function. Lead a team of security engineers, implementing detection capabilities to protect customers and the corporate environment. You will establish team goals, proactively identify and resolve issues, and deliver technical security solutions. This role involves acting as incident commander during security incidents and contributing to Squarespace's security roadmap. The position is remote-friendly for specified locations and offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing a technical team
• Deep experience in SIEM and SOAR technologies
• Experience working with partners throughout the business (engineering, product, legal, customer operations, and trust and safety)
• Degree in computer science, physics or mathematics

Responsibilities

• Mentor and grow a distributed team of security engineers and analysts
• Establish individual and team goals, and empower your team to deliver on those goals
• Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic and technical goals
• Own the planning and delivery of technical security solutions to ultimately reduce risk for Squarespace
• Develop and report performance metrics that demonstrate business impact and risk reduction
• Act as incident commander and lead security incident response efforts, cross functionally, as we experience these types of situations
• Be a key contributor to Squarespace's security roadmap, product roadmap, and overall planning for the engineering organization
• Engage with stakeholders across all departments to ensure that business needs are understood and met
