Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding digital assets, data, and infrastructure for ITS and its clients. They have several sub-roles including SOC Incident Responder, Security Standards Analyst, Virtual Security Officer/Virtual Chief Security Officer, and Collaborative Support. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field, possess relevant security certifications, and have strong analytical and communication skills. They must also meet specific job requirements such as having a home office setup and excellent English language proficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of security principles, best practices, and industry standards
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information
- A home office set up that meets specific requirements
- Excellent command of the English language both spoken and written
- Able to work full time 40 hours a week - 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Eastern Standard Time (EST) from Monday to Friday
- Able to pass our online behavior and cognitive assessments
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in incident response activities
- Assist in coordinating and executing incident response plans
- Provide timely and effective incident reports to the Incident Manager
- Collaborate with the First Responder, SOC Threat Hunter, and other security team members
- Conduct meeting with clients
- Act as a dedicated point of contact for practice management
- Offer guidance and support for active engagements with clients
- Collaborate with 3rd parties and other ITS departments to align security practices with framework-specific needs for clients
- Participate actively in security incident exercises, drills, and simulations
- Communicate effectively with team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to strengthen the security team
Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+
