Security Officer

Summary

The Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding digital assets, data, and infrastructure for ITS and its clients. They will report directly to the Cybersecurity department and perform various sub-roles such as SOC Incident Responder, Security Standards Analyst, Virtual Security Officer/Virtual Chief Security Officer, and collaborate with other security team members. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field, relevant security certifications, strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of security principles, best practices, and industry standards
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information

Responsibilities

• Safeguard digital assets, data, and infrastructure for ITS and its clients
• Respond to security incidents
• Ensure compliance with security standards

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are a plus
