Requirements

  • Proven experience with the Semantic Web technology stack, including RDF and SPARQL
  • Hands-on expertise in designing and managing ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies
  • Solid data engineering skills, particularly with SQL and ETL processes
  • Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation tasks
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, source code version control, infrastructure-as-code, and containerisation

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimise semantic web solutions using modern technologies
  • Develop and manage ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies to enhance data interoperability
  • Implement RDF data formats and construct SPARQL queries for querying semantic data
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to create robust data pipelines, write SQL queries, and manage ETL workflows
  • Leverage Python for semantic data applications and automation tasks
  • Apply DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
  • Develop and deploy containerised applications using Docker

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in operations domains such as Supply Chain or Manufacturing
  • A background in Life Sciences or familiarity with related data challenges
