Senior 2D Concept Artist

Join Magic Media's incredible team as a Senior 2D Concept Artist, leading visual direction through sketches and delivering final assets. You will define project pipelines, mentor junior artists, and contribute to estimations and documentation. This role demands extensive experience creating artworks in various styles, including illustrations, concepts, and game assets. You'll need proficiency in industry-standard tools and a strong understanding of art principles. Excellent communication and time management skills are essential, along with a portfolio showcasing your technical and artistic abilities. Requirements

• 5+ years experience involved in various game development projects
• Extensive knowledge of standard illustration tools like Adobe PS/AI, Procreate, etc
• Solid knowledge of shape language, color theory, anatomy, light and perspective
• Highly creative and flexible in visualizing different art styles
• Excellent skills communicating through sketches or thumbnails
• Good understanding of which style and visuals are expected in each task or project
• Excellent communication skills and time management
• A solid portfolio showcasing your technical and artistic skills concepting environments and characters and passion for video games
• Capability to lead and help workmates regarding specific 2D tasks
• Capability to interact with customers
• Experience in some 2D art standard creation pipelines and exporting assets

Responsibilities

• Render artworks in various angles or styles
• Create illustrations, concepts, portraits, backgrounds, sprites, and textures
• Define pipelines followed in a project
• Assist in leading junior artists
• Complete estimations or other documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Spine animation tool knowledge
• Some experience concepting in Matte Painting
• Very basic 3D skills (for overdraw art creation pipelines)
• Some insights in animation are also interesting
