Summary
Join Invisible's dynamic finance team as a Senior Accountant, reporting to the VP of Accounting. You will play a crucial role in managing accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial statements, and providing insights for strategic decision-making. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing the general ledger, conducting reconciliations, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate possesses a strong accounting background, relevant experience, and proficiency in accounting software. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in corporate or public accounting within the professional services or SaaS sector
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as financial reporting standards
- Proficient in accounting software (Netsuite preferred),Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google Workplace (Sheets, Doc, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare and review journal entries as part of the month end close process
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely postings of all financial transactions
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Perform variance analysis and report on financial performance against budgets
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the accuracy of financial information
- Provide mentorship and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Assist in special projects and financial analyses as needed
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or CMA certification
