Requirements

• Proficient in English
• Familiar with Agentic AI in a professional setting
• Demonstrated expertise in LLMs, generative AI, optimization, or sequential learning
• Passionate about the intersection of healthcare and AI
• PhD in a Computer Science-related field (Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent expertise
• Strong practical knowledge of deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, etc.)
• Specialized in one or more of the following areas: reinforcement learning, Bayesian optimization, optimal experimental design, agents, or optimal transport
• Background in target discovery, drug discovery, or related fields, with a track record of impact (e.g., high-profile publications or industrial applications)
• Expertise in causality and treatment response modeling
• Skilled in training large deep learning models
• Published in high-impact journals and conferences

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply agent-based approaches on large volumes of multimodal patient data
• Work with cross functional teams to improve medical research using state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms
• Participate in long-term research programs on ambitious scientific challenges around the design of AI agents tailored to answer reliably to complex biology analysis requests
• Drive the application and development of advanced machine learning methods to advance Owkin’s therapeutic platform
• Maintain a regular scientific watch in machine learning related fields
• Conduct methodological research in key areas to unlock novel applications, including writing scientific publications and patents
