Senior AI Engineer

Summary

Join That's No Moon, an independent game studio, as a Senior AI Engineer to contribute to the development of our upcoming AAA title. You will be responsible for building believable AI behaviors and maintaining the systems supporting AI characters. Collaborate with designers to craft AI systems and drive innovation. This role requires strong C++ skills, Unreal Engine experience, and experience with machine learning. The ideal candidate will have worked on at least one AAA game and possess excellent communication skills. We offer competitive compensation, including a base pay range of $159,000-$199,000, and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

• Solid experience with C++
• Strong math skills
• Unreal Engine experience is a must
• Worked on at least one AAA game or equivalent complexity
• Experience with machine learning
• Good communication skills visually, verbally and written
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to resolve conflicts

Responsibilities

• Break down features, building plans and assessing dependencies
• Work with the production team and engineering leadership to schedule those plans
• Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to provide holistic solutions
• Own features, and small-scale systems, driving them to meet the needs of those holistic solutions
• Architect, implement, and maintain production quality C/C++ for systems, features, tools, and workflows
• Analyze different approaches to solve problems and discuss the tradeoffs between them
• Write and maintain documentation related to features, tools, and workflows
