Senior AI Platform Engineer

Summary

Join Recruit Champions as a Senior AI Platform Engineer and design, implement, and maintain high-performance backend systems and AI infrastructure. You will build low-latency online services and intelligent components, such as Knowledge Graphs, to power AI products. This role involves collaborating with researchers, data engineers, and product teams to integrate backend systems with AI workflows. The ideal candidate possesses strong coding skills, experience with cloud-native technologies (AWS), and a proven track record of building high-performance online services. The position requires expertise in Knowledge Graph technologies and practical experience with various AWS services. This is a hybrid role based in Rawalpindi/Islamabad with remote options for other cities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience in backend or infrastructure engineering
• Strong coding skills in Python or Java
• Proven experience building high-performance online services
• Solid understanding of Knowledge Graph technologies, including: Graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune)
• Metadata ontologies
• Graph-based Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
• Practical experience with cloud-native services , including: AWS Lambda , S3 , ECS , Batch
• Track record of owning services through development, deployment, and monitoring

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain low-latency backend services for AI applications
• Build and deploy scalable cloud-native systems using AWS services
• Work closely with AI researchers, data engineers, and product teams to integrate backend systems with AI workflows
• Ensure code quality, service reliability, and infrastructure observability
• Contribute to best practices in backend engineering and DevOps

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Exposure to cloud-agnostic orchestration using Kubernetes
