Summary

Join Grafana Labs as a Sr. Analytics Engineer and empower analysts and data-driven stakeholders by owning the architecture and infrastructure of our data stack. You will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy and accessibility, partnering with various teams to understand their data needs, and becoming the go-to expert on our data pipeline. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with data modeling and dbt, and a proven track record of enabling stakeholders to use data effectively. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and thrive in a remote-first environment. Compensation includes a competitive salary and benefits package.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience contributing to data modeling
  • Experience with dbt
  • Experience working with a wide variety of peers and stakeholders, from business users to analysts to data engineers
  • Experience creating and maintaining data quality tests and logic tests (e.g. unit tests)
  • Established track record enabling stakeholders to use data by various means such as documentation, training, and cataloging
  • A passion for understanding business questions and making data driven insights. Excellent analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Own, operate, and maintain the architecture and infrastructure of our data stack (e.g. BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran)
  • Ensure that the data we need to understand and serve our stakeholders is available, accurate, and accessible
  • Partner with GTM, Self-Serve, Marketing, Finance, and BizApps (and other stakeholders) to understand their data needs and identify places where the analytics stack can improve on what they’re doing
  • Become the go-to expert on our data pipeline, data tools, and what our data means
  • Create data processes and standard operating procedures
  • Create and own best practices for version control, documentation, testing, and other data-related areas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or GCP
  • Familiarity with the monitoring, observability, log aggregation, or APM market
