Summary

Join our team as a Senior Android Core Engineer and contribute to the growth of our international startup, working on state-of-the-art software engineering and expanding your knowledge about ease of use, reliability, caching, distributed persistence, and resilience. As part of our Tracking squad, you will collect and ingest mobile sensor data, design and implement tracking services in our SDK, and solve a wide range of engineering challenges to make critical services more reliable, maintainable, and efficient.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in computer science or a related field
  • At least 6 years work experience in mobile engineering
  • Experience working with mobile native technologies, including Kotlin
  • Broad interest in mobile technologies and tools (Android, CI/CD for mobile, Kotlin Multiplatform, etc…)
  • Strong software design & architecture skills
  • Analytical thinking and good problem solving skills
  • Good team player in an agile team
  • Strong identification to the FAIRTIQ Values
  • Creative, self-confident, independent
  • Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Fluent English speaking, writing and verbal language skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop parts of our core tracking technology: the FAIRTIQ SDK
  • Design, implement, maintain and improve mobile services used actively by 700k+ users and contributing to millions of public transport journeys
  • Write maintainable, clean, simple, testable, scalable and efficient code
  • Work with modern native Android technologies like the Location Manager, sensors, coroutines and flows, Arrow, and many more
  • Collaborate with mobile engineers from other squads and bring mobile engineering to the next level
  • Monitor released apps and SDK
  • Work with developers and product experts to expand our solution worldwide
