Senior Android Developer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as an Android developer
• Functional and automation testing, writing specification and documentation
• Knowledge of distributed version control systems, like Git
• Experience with OpenCV, NDK, Camera API
• Good knowledge about software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Willingness to work flexibly, in an interdisciplinary and international environment, depending on the current project status
• Strong analytical skills and process-oriented work style with a structured, independent approach to work and focus on getting things done
• Stress-resistant, even in fast-paced and busy situations
• Fluency in English (French and other European languages are a plus)

Responsibilities

• Implement new features and maintain existing ones for our Android app
• Take ownership of specific feature implementations and produce structured, easy to read and efficient code
• Write unit tests, functional tests and verify your code against defined test cases
• Writing specification for software for medical devices
• Participate in code review and ensure timely delivery of high-quality code
• Discuss possible implementations with other team members and create and maintain the overall design and architecture of our app
• Estimate development efforts and do sprint planning together with the team
• Keep track of your work and make sure to follow Aktiia's development process
• Plan releases together with the team and supports the release of our app on the Google Play Store

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of software development lifecycles in a regulated industry with experience in medical device software development
