Summary
Join Swile, a global unicorn and a top employer, as a Mobile Software Engineer Android! As part of our team, you will build and maintain our high-performance Android app, ensuring a great user experience even on older devices. You will write high-quality, tested, and documented code in Java and Kotlin, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with stakeholders. You will also participate in on-call rotations, identify and address technical debt, and contribute to design and architecture discussions. The role involves working with international teams and requires fluent English. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent in related areas
- More than 5 years of experience with Android application development with Java and Kotlin
- Clear and effective communication
- Fluent English for collaboration with teams from other countries
Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, tested, secure, documented, and high-performance code
- Monitor and observe your code on users' devices, ensuring quick and efficient fault recovery
- Conduct high-quality code reviews for your team and global teams when necessary
- Identify, prioritize with stakeholders and product managers, and ensure the execution of application technical debts, taking a long-term view of deliveries
- Participate in on-call rotations agreed upon with your team, ensuring better responses to failures and incidents and also proposing process improvements
- Actively participate in solution design and architecture processes with engineers from all over Swile, ensuring a long-term vision for deliveries
- Work directly with product stakeholders and other areas of the company to better understand problems and focus on the best experience for our end user
- Lead end-to-end initiatives, ensuring high-quality execution of everyone involved in the deliveries relevant to your result
- Actively collaborate with the growth and development of other members inside and outside your team
- Work communicating with international teams in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's, doctorate or equivalent in Computer Science, computer engineering or related areas
- Experience in development for Android applications (Java & Kotlin) - cross-platform development
