Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ experience in software development
  • Experience in Healthcare or Health Insurance Industry (must be recent)
  • Strong independent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and issue resolution
  • Proficiency with .NET framework, C#, and SQL Server
  • Experience working with messaging-based technologies such as MSMQ
  • Knowledge in using source control solutions such as TFVC or Git
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Take a lead role for analyzing, designing, configuring, and modification of inbound and outbound EDI feeds, including X12 EDI such as 834, 835, and 837 transaction sets along with proprietary feeds for specific vendors
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft .NET-based backend systems including scheduled console applications, web applications, MSMQ based messaging-based applications
  • Take a lead role in collaborating with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Concentrates on providing innovative solutions to more complex business needs
  • Take a lead role in providing required technical support, including release implementations, on-call and 24x7 supports when necessary
  • Perform work in compliance with all Highmark and Highmark IT standards, policies and procedures
  • Actively take a leading role and participate on project teams in various project roles, including, but not limited to, Developer, Technical Lead and Project Manager, based upon level of experience
  • Effectively communicate with team members, customers, partners and management, including assisting with or conducting more complex technical walkthroughs, reporting project status, enabling vendor solutions and providing accurate and concise documentation
