Senior Applied Scientist

Summary

Join Wolt's Support Group as a Data Scientist and contribute to the development of in-house customer service tooling. You will work within a cross-functional team, building data science solutions with measurable business impact. Your work will involve projects ranging from developing AI assistants to tackling traditional machine learning problems. This role offers the opportunity to work in a tech hub in Helsinki, Berlin, or Stockholm, or remotely in Finland, Sweden, or Germany. The position offers a negotiable combination of monthly pay and DoorDash RSUs.

Requirements

• Identify as a Data Science enthusiast; solving problems and making a business impact via Data Science is a primary motivator
• Have previous experience building Data Science, Machine Learning and AI solutions with a measurable impact
• Understand how to build data products, and deeply care about the end user experience
• Understand what it takes to build production-level ML and AI solutions
• Have experience with real-time applications and large scale deployments, and can handle the entire life cycle of data science solutions from ideation to maintenance
• Possess a deep understanding and experience with Machine Learning and AI, a solid understanding of Statistics, and experience and knowledge in NLP
• Have experience working as part of an engineering team, building solutions to complex problems with large scale and real-time requirements

Responsibilities

• Contribute to projects that have visible business impact, owning the data science parts of the solution
• Work through the whole lifecycle of the development process - from ideation to deployment and maintenance
• Develop co-pilot tools for support associates and AI assistants for customers using the latest AI technologies
• Work on more traditional machine learning and optimization problems

Preferred Qualifications

Have interest towards LLMs and GenAI and their applications to solving problems in production
