Summary
Join Tellent as a Senior Backend Developer and build scalable backend solutions for their HR product, Tellent HR. Collaborate with a team of developers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver new features and maintain high standards for code quality. You will take ownership of key backend modules, mentor other developers, and help shape technical decisions. The role involves working on a fully remote and flexible team with a focus on maintaining a positive and collaborative atmosphere. Over the course of a year, you will progress from learning the product and architecture to independently owning complex projects and shaping the technical direction of the team. Requirements
- Strong skills in modern JavaScript and TypeScript
- At least 5 years of experience building scalable backend systems using Node.js
- Hands-on experience with: Express.js or similar backend frameworks
- Hands-on experience with: Relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle
- Hands-on experience with: ORM libraries like Sequelize or TypeORM
- Hands-on experience with: Writing and running tests with Mocha, Jest, or similar frameworks
- Hands-on experience with: Working with GraphQL APIs
- Hands-on experience with: Git for version control
- A strong understanding of asynchronous programming patterns
- Excellent communication skills in both Polish and English
- A problem-solving mindset and a focus on writing reliable, maintainable code
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of core parts of Tellent HR
- Maintain and extend existing modules, and build new ones when needed
- Work closely with Developers, QAs, and Designers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Make sure the codebase stays clean, stable, and easy to maintain
- Propose and build smart, scalable solutions to challenges as they come up
- Hunt down and fix performance bottlenecks and bugs
- Review code and help document technical decisions
- Set up profiling and monitoring so we can spot and fix performance issues early
