Senior Backend Engineer

Join our ABOUT YOU Backend Applications team as a Senior Backend Engineer (m/f/d) to implement efficient backend system solutions and handle retail business across all ABOUT YOU shops.

Requirements

• Hands-on & recent experience with Laravel
• Hands-on experience developing synchronous APIs
• Experience working with message queue systems (SQS, RabbitMQ or equivalent)
• Experience working with AWS, TF, MySQL, Redis or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Take a business problem, translate it into a technical problem, and work with the team to ensure it is properly designed, planned, and delivered
• Build and provide internal & external RESTful APIs that ensure a fast & frictionless updating of our backend products
• Embrace modern agile software development methodologies and extreme programming practices such as TDD and pair programming
• Constantly challenge and expand your knowledge of reliable software architecture, programming and new technologies
