Requirements
- Have over 6 years of experience and a deep appreciation for engineering fundamentals
- Understand the importance of writing tests, designing systems for long-term maintainability, and evaluating different engineering approaches
- Have extensive experience architecting data-driven products with complex workflows
- Be strong in SQL and able to incorporate a deep understanding of the database and backend to build scalable, performant, and maintainable systems
- Be a data enthusiast and understand the value of visualization in communicating data insights
- Be excited to learn more about the intricacies of the financial system and be adept at learning on the job
Responsibilities
- Bring transparency to the financial markets by enabling customers to extract insights from large datasets
- Develop using a modern, open source stack, including Scala + Play, building REST API and GraphQL endpoints
- Collaborate with other teams (product, design, data engineering, front-end) to create great products
- Gain knowledge of the financial industry, including participants, terminology, and mathematics
Preferred Qualifications
- Have familiarity with financial concepts, specifically structured products
- Have familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Google BigQuery, and Kubernetes
- Have familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, Git and Github Actions
- Have familiarity with data analytics tools like Spark, R, or Pandas
- Have familiarity with React, Redux, Node.js
- Have experience with Scala/Java/C#
