Summary

The job description is for a Senior Backend Engineer position at FAIRTIQ. The role involves designing, implementing, and testing new features, improving existing code, and building scalable and reliable systems using microservices, continuous delivery, domain-driven design, hexagonal architecture, Swift, Kotlin, Java, Python, MongoDB, Redis, Rest/JSON, RabbitMQ, Kafka, scikit-learn, Tensorflow, and more. The ideal candidate has a BSc or MSc in computer science, 7+ years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer, strong software design skills, large-scale system design experience, strong algorithmic skills, analytical thinking, good problem-solving skills, teamwork abilities, creativity, self-confidence, independence, excellent English language skills, and is based in the EU.

Requirements

• BSc or MSc in computer science or a related field
• 7+ of professional experience as a Backend Engineer
• Strong software design skills
• Large-scale system design
• Strong algorithmic skills
• Analytical thinking and good problem solving skills
• Good team player in an agile team
• Creative, self-confident, independent
• Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Excellent English speaking, writing and verbal language skills

Responsibilities

• Develop parts of a highly available backend with a micro service architecture
• Write maintainable, clean, simple, testable, scalable and efficient code
• Monitor production systems
• Participate in agile processes
• Work with developers and product experts to expand our solution worldwide
