Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

Join Frontify's Search Platform Team as a PHP expert and contribute to building and enhancing their brand management platform. Work remotely from anywhere in Switzerland, on-site in St. Gallen, or adopt a hybrid approach. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining large software solutions, focusing on search capabilities. Collaborate with other engineers to create a user-friendly search service. Requirements

• Be an expert in PHP
• Have experience with technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, GraphQL, REST, MySQL & Docker
• Be proficient in writing Unit Tests and be familiar with test-driven development (TDD) and domain-driven design (DDD)
• Possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Have excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Speak English fluently

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance the platform used by Lufthansa, Allianz, and many more
• Work on a search service that isolates the tech complexity of search and enables other teams to easily index and search
• Build knowledge in the search domain
• Architect/design, develop, and maintain large software solutions
• Write Unit Tests
• Work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with people of different backgrounds from different product teams
