Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

Join GoFasti, a Talent-as-a-Service company, as a Senior Backend Engineer! Based in Latin America and working remotely, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable backend solutions using Next.js and TypeScript. You will collaborate with a team to deliver high-quality solutions, implement CI/CD pipelines, and integrate audio/video processing. This role requires 10+ years of backend development experience and proficiency in various technologies. The salary range is $5,000-$7,000 USD per month, and the position is for an independent contractor. The hiring process involves application review, interviews with GoFasti and the client, and onboarding.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in backend software development
• Proficiency in Next.js and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of API design and microservices architecture
• Experience working with Nest.js
• Experience in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with RAG stages for continuous integration and deployment
• Strong command of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and proficiency with related tools like Terraform
• Previous hands-on experience with audio/video processing tools like ffmpeg
• Solid understanding of event-driven architectures and message brokers
• Experience working in a startup environment, comfortable with rapid scaling and iteration
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. (C1 minimum)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend solutions using Next.js and TypeScript
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines with RAG stages to ensure efficient software delivery
• Integrate audio/video processing capabilities using ffmpeg or equivalent tools into our applications
• Architect and implement event-driven architectures to support real-time data processing and messaging
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and other IaC tools
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in development, testing, and production environments
