  • 5+ years of professional full-time in software engineering with a focus on backend development
  • Proficiency with any strongly typed language such as Scala, C#, Java, Go, Kotlin, et cetera
  • Experience with microservice heavy ecosystems
  • Experience with distributed systems and asynchronous messaging (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, Pub./Sub)
  • Experience working with gRPC/Protobuf
  • A demonstrated history of enterprise scale system design
  • Proficiency working in multiple cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Solid problem-solving and debugging skills, with the tendency to want to automate repetitive tasks to make things easier going forward
  • A passion for writing testable code and testing it - Knows what to test, what not to test, and what kinds of tests matter

Responsibilities

  • Work with a group of top-tier engineers in a low-process environment powered by trust and autonomy
  • Drive decisions and consensus asynchronously with thoughtful documentation
  • Ship fast. Learn fast. Repeat
  • Design and implement internal and external facing APIs to power new functionality in the HTS platform
  • Work directly with PMs and business partners to help define and refine our roadmap. Your voice matters
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with a diverse group of people, giving and receiving feedback for growth
