Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

Join RYZ Labs as a Senior Backend Engineer to build the foundation of a music data platform, designing and scaling services that handle large amounts of data. As a senior member of the engineering team, you will be reporting to the CTO and collaborating with the executive team to ensure the success of our strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Comfortable writing production code with Python and/or Typescript
• Extensive experience in developing and deploying large, distributed systems
• Familiarity with large-scale data processing tools and platforms like Hadoop, Spark, or their equivalents
• Experience with one of AWS/GCP/Azure cloud platforms

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy scalable, efficient systems for our music copyright platform
• Design and build large-scale distributed systems that can process massive amounts of external data and integrate it into products to meet client requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align technical strategies with business goals
• Develop features and improvements in a secure, well-tested, and performant manner
• Understand the intricacies of music copyright and music metadata standards in the United States and around the world

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, ECS, and EMR
• Experience with Node.js , Docker- Background in the copyright space, particularly in music or related media industries
