Summary

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 3+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in data-intensive applications
  • Strong experience with SQL and data modeling for analytical workloads
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Java for data processing and software development
  • Experience with event-driven architectures(Kafka, SQS, Snowflake Stream, AWS Lambda), and microservices
  • Proven experience in designing and building scalable data pipelines, and distributed systems
  • Experience collaborating with AI and analytics teams to integrate data-driven solutions into products
  • Ability to contribute to architecture decisions and technical discussions within engineering teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and support AI development
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally across data, platform, infra, and product teams

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines to ingest, transform, and store structured/unstructured data, and export transformed data back to transactional stores
  • Implement microservices and scheduled jobs for complex data transformations, deploy them to production, and manage infrastructure setup and monitoring
  • Contribute to our platform framework by building custom libraries and tools to enhance engineering efficiency and AI software development
  • Drive architecture decisions, collaborate with team leads, and execute projects to deliver impactful outcomes
  • Work with Data Platform, AI Platform, Infra, Analytics, and Product teams to define and execute data-driven strategies
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability of data and platform infrastructure
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code while adhering to software development best practices
  • Additional duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on expertise with Snowflake or similar data warehouse technologies (BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, Airflow, and version control systems (Git)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML workflows and data pipelines
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments
  • Experience and passion for Generative AI and Prompt Engineering
