Summary

Webflow is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Shared Services team. The role involves developing and maintaining shared services, collaborating with other teams, and improving processes. Requirements

  • Have 5+ years developing and deploying web applications
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Have worked on complex issues where the analysis requires an in-depth knowledge of the company and existing architecture
  • Can debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
  • Take pride in taking ownership and driving projects to business impact
  • Proven experience building complex web systems
  • Are familiar with one or more Javascript type systems (we use TypeScript here)
  • Are comfortable working in an agile, safe-to-fail environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to improve developer productivity and accomplish our business goals
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, designers, and QA analysts in an autonomous, supportive team environment
  • Build and maintain shared services, including, but not limited to: In-app / Email Notification platform and Feature Flag framework
  • Identify, develop, and document APIs for Webflow’s service catalog as well as provide quick start guides for developer best practices
  • Solve problems in a highly technical platform that empowers hundreds of engineers
  • Improve our planning, development, and deployment processes to help you and your fellow team members
  • Mentor, coach, and inspire a team of engineers of various levels
