Senior Backend Engineer

Summary

The job is for a senior backend engineer at Axiom, a startup using zero-knowledge proofs to scale smart contract applications. The role involves building cloud-based systems for user queries and requires proficiency in Rust or similar languages, experience with production application deployment, and a strong security mindset.

Requirements

• Fluency in Rust, C++, or a similarly performant backend language (we work primarily in Rust)
• Experience deploying production applications in the cloud using orchestration and containerization (Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes)
• Extremely detail oriented and have a security mindset

Responsibilities

• Building cloud-based systems to fulfill and monitor user queries into Axiom
• Designing secure and efficient systems and making design choices to enable rapid development without sacrificing security

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with blockchain nodes like Geth, Reth, or similar
• Experience with low-level details of Ethereum
