Requirements

  • Solid experience with Kotlin, or Java, or Go
  • You are a data-driven person, who asks for data to support product decisions before blindly implementing things
  • You try to simplify the scope of what you are developing constantly
  • You are eager to learn and to share knowledge
  • You continuously improve your toolset of technical, business, and communication skills to provide more and more impact to the company
  • Expert with SQL/NoSQL technology such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and DynamoDB understanding common use cases and performance pitfalls
  • Great knowledge dealing with event-driven architectures and message brokers such as RabbitMQ, KAFKA, ActiveMQ, etc, and an in-depth understanding of their use cases and pitfalls
  • Versed in concepts such as DDD, SOLID, Design Patterns distributed systems, and architecture
  • Outstanding experience with REST concepts, you will be responsible for designing and building APIs
  • You know how communication protocols work behind the scenes
  • You can present your work in a meeting setting in English, or Portuguese

Responsibilities

  • Build scalable, maintainable architectures, and write clean and readable code
  • Bring expertise in architecture and design process
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve services focusing on performance, scalability, and stability
  • Spread development best practices such as code reviews, pair programming, TDD, etc
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects, and promote the long-term technical health of our services
  • Support existing systems looking to enhance functionality, increase scale, and transform in new ways to meet our product demands
  • Create new services and capabilities to meet emerging needs as our business grows
  • Have technical influence over other engineers, by sharing his experience and knowledge
  • Take part in incident resolution and troubleshooting in production
  • High responsibility to keep systems reliable, scalability, SLA, and SLO
  • Ensure a high bar on code quality standards
  • Work to solve technical debts in the engineering backlog

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior expertise with Kotlin, or Golang, or Java
  • Expert knowledge of SQL and NoSQL technologies, and an understanding of common use cases and performance pitfalls
