Senior Backend Software Engineer

Summary

Join SentinelOne, a leader in cybersecurity, as a Backend Engineer to build our next-generation endpoint security offering. You will contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of a cloud-native platform serving thousands of users globally. This role involves working with Golang and Python, large-scale distributed systems, and addressing performance optimization challenges. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and directly impact how our customers' environments are protected. The position requires 5+ years of backend development experience and excellent communication skills. US citizenship is required due to Federal and FedRAMP regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with Golang (Go) or Java, and/or Python
• Ability to quickly dive into new products and understand their inner workings
• Self-driven individual
• Experience with large-scale high-load distributed systems & performance
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Take part in building our next-generation endpoint security offering
• Be a stakeholder in the architecture, design, and implementation of a multi-disciplinary cloud-native cybersecurity software platform
• Lead features end-to-end
• Come up with your own improvements in infrastructure and performance components
• Promote your ideas, design & implement them
• Own very important flows at S1 and deal with extraordinary performance and optimization challenges

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent professional and production experience working in Golang (Go)
• Experience with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes
• Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and/or other cloud platforms
• Experience in an enterprise SaaS company or cybersecurity SaaS company
