Summary

We need an experienced Senior Bookkeeping Technologist to help revolutionize the future of small business by managing complex accounts, mentoring others, and working with cloud accounting platforms like Wave, Xero, and QuickBooks. The role involves daily interaction with real clients, requires at least 5 years experience in fast-paced bookkeeping environments, and offers a hybrid work environment, mentorship, support, career progression, good benefits, flexible vacation days, and progressive maternity/paternity/childcare options.

Requirements

• At least 5 years experience of fast-paced bookkeeping environments, with experience training and mentoring others
• Solid knowledge of online / cloud based accounting software such as Wave, Xero and QuickBooks
• Know accrual bookkeeping, payroll, debits, credits, clearing accounts, reconciliations inside out, upside down and back to front

Responsibilities

• Talking to real clients about real problems and trying to solve them in real time
• Jump between the worlds best cloud accounting platforms, making the numbers work, filing real returns, delivering accurate reports, managing up, mentoring below
• Being the daily touch-stone to real business founders who will turn to you for help when they need it most and will make decisions based on your solutions and strategies
