Senior C++ Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior C++ Software Engineer at Voltron Data, focusing on developing and optimizing their data processing engine, Theseus. The role involves working closely with other teams, learning about Apache Arrow, and contributing to new core architectural components.

Requirements

• Highly motivated
• Experience with data processing engines or frameworks
• Experience in distributed and multi-threaded systems
• Experience in HW resource management including memory and thread pools
• Working with SQL and non-SQL systems and their computational abstractions
• Developing in C++, especially using modern C++
• Developing for multiple types of hardware (i.e. CPU, GPU)

Responsibilities

• Work directly on Theseus, the accelerator-native data processing engine built for composability
• Build, optimize and maintain our data execution framework
• Add new features to the engine, making it run faster and more scalable
