Summary

Join iParametrics as a Senior Certified Cost Estimator/Engineer to support public sector and commercial business in the US. The ideal candidate will have a solid estimation background, effective communication skills, and be self-motivated.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Construction Management, Technology, or other related discipline
  • 5 years estimating experience, or an associate’s degree and 10 years of estimating experience
  • Federal DoD, EPC, industrial, and commercial project costing experience with a minimum of 50% of the CSI MasterFormat Divisions
  • Direct experience in the use of the following estimating software: MCACES MII, PACES, RS Means, and other estimating software as well as experience with take-off software (Bluebeam, On Center OST)
  • Certified Cost Professional Certification (CCP) or Certified Estimating Professional Certification (CEP) from AACE
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel. Adobe experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior when representing the Company
  • Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
  • Effectively manage the estimate and client process from start to finish
  • Develop complete understanding of the project and deliverable requirements to ensure timely submissions
  • Review preliminary quotes and historical bid data in developing the most accurate cost points
  • Prepare quantity take-offs in alignment with parametric and detailed cost estimates within the Five Cost Classifications
  • Source, vet, and apply labor, equipment, material, and markup cost data that impact project costs
  • Identify, quantify, and justify known & unknown cost and schedule uncertainties/risks impacting cost, budget and estimate to complete
  • Updates costs as necessary based on new information and project scope changes
  • Prepare cost submission documents, as well as review the work of other cost professionals
  • Understand the General Conditions cost associated with preparing an accurate cost to construct within the US and OCONUS
  • Work with Scheduling and A/E to ensure that the estimate aligns with the scope, sequencing, and period of performance
  • Interface with subcontractors, owners, and various departments
