Summary

The job is for a senior or lead 3D Character artist at Keywords Studios in Romania. The role involves creating high-quality characters and assets, adapting to various art directions, improving workflows, organizing project tasks, QA, communicating with clients, and requires strong knowledge in 3D modelling software, artistic anatomy, game-art photorealism, etc. The job requires at least 6 years of professional experience as a Character artist, with at least 3 years as a lead for the Lead Character Artist role.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience as a Character artist in the games industry, with at least 3 years of experience as a lead if you are applying as a Lead Character Artist
• Experience in console games and Unreal Engine
• Strong knowledge of artistic anatomy and realism
• Proficiency level in 3D modelling software (Maya, 3DS Max or Blender), advanced knowledge of Zbrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop
• In-depth knowledge of game-art photorealism, game-rest geometry optimization, hard-surface modeling, PBR texturing
• Knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and tools
• Project management skills
• Strong communication and English-speaking skills
• Comfortable working with remote teams

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality characters and character-related 3D assets in a photorealistic or stylized manner for triple A games
• Adapt to various art directions and different project styles
• Find creative and original ideas to improve workflows
• Organize project tasks and ensure your team keeps to the production schedule
• QA: make sure that everyone in your team matches the required project quality
• Communicate with the client’s operational team regarding all production phases for your team’s assets
