Requirements

  • Have 10+ years experience in cinematic animation, including third-person action adventure titles
  • Have shipped 2+ AAA titles as part of a cinematic creation team
  • Have experience mentoring and leading teams of animators
  • Have experience with advanced animation systems and performance capture technology
  • Push the innovation and emotional fidelity of cinematic animation
  • Have a passion for creating cinematic and realistic content
  • Have extensive experience developing in a real-time environment (Unreal Engine)
  • Excel at pre-visualization and fast iteration
  • Thrive in a self-driven environment
  • Are great communicators and cross-discipline collaborators
  • Possess strong time management and long term planning skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily hands-on editing and tuning of motion-capture-based narrative animation content
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, and Animation to devise, implement and debug cinematic sequences
  • Collaborate with our design and story partners to craft memorable scenes which drive our narrative and engage our audiences
  • Work closely and clearly communicate with external Animation partners to ensure that quality and technical requirements and timelines are being met
  • Be involved in Motion Capture shoots, from planning and direction to integration into engine
  • Be an active partner in the integration of cinematic animation with gameplay systems
  • Collaborate with Animation Directors to ensure alignment with Narrative vision

Preferred Qualifications

Applicants must be willing to relocate to California, British Columbia or Alberta

  • We are open to a spectrum of remote working and office scenarios for staff. This will include regular team get-togethers and travel throughout the year
  • The salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $220,000 – $225,000. The salary offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors.  The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonus, benefits, etc
